The great quarantine of 2020 may have given you the time you needed to get your reseller business better organized. Every so often it’s a great idea to get everything cleaned up, go through all of your inventory and make sure it’s all listed. Personally, I found a Bose Sound Machine that had been sold, returned and then for some reason never relisted. I got that taken care of and it sold within 24 hours.
If you’ve ever had to go through your inventory and your Ebay listings one at a time, you know that can be an arduous process. Or if you never have, but just want to get better organized or implement an inventory system, then you might find that a spreadsheet will make your reseller life easier. Fortunately, Ebay makes it very easy to export all of your active listings into a CSV* file–they just don’t tell anyone how to do it.
*If you didn’t know, CSV stands for comma separated values and most spreadsheet programs such as Excel, Google Sheets and Microsoft Numbers can read them.

Instead of putting an export button on the active listing page in seller hub (seems like a good place to me) Ebay has this Export to File action buried within the bulk listing editor. To get there, go to your active listings in seller hub, click the Edit drop down and choose Edit All Listings.
From the Bulk Editor, click the button to select all listings, click the Action drop down, then choose Export to File. The next screen will ask you if you want a CSV or a PDF. Choose CSV and your file will download. Super simple and pretty fast. The resulting spreadsheet will have plenty of info on each listing, including Custom Sku and Ebay Categories, giving you some good options for sorting and filtering.
One major drawback is if you have more than 500 listings as Ebay’s Bulk Editor currently only supports 500 at a time. In that case you would have to repeat the process, going 500 at a time. This will give you multiple files that you then want to copy and paste to get everything into one spreadsheet. Definitely clunky, but doable.
One of the main tasks I use this feature for is crossposting. A spreadsheet is very hand for keeping track of what’s cross posted and where so that items can be removed from various platforms as they sell on others.
